There is a particularly fun way to get some wood resources for upgrading your Serentia pot. You can get wood from various places around the whole Teyvat… Including Mondstadt itself. No need to go in danger, you can gather resources within the walls of the peaceful Mondstadt.
Have you noticed these tiny pine trees at the Mondstadt center?
Those are pine trees and you totally can collect the wood from them. Don’t look at their size, they drop the same amount of wood as the regular trees. Just from this place, you can get 21 pieces of pine wood. If you harvest them each time you visit Mondstadt you can start ignoring every other Pine tree since this place should be sufficient to never be in need of the Pine wood.
Climb up, and near the wall, you’ll see four trees more, harvestable as well.
Turn back and go to the bench where the Glory usually spends her time, there are two more trees.
Following the screenshot above, turn around and go straight to this nice meadow. Vacuum clean it using your favorite claymore user and gather 18 pieces of the Fragrant Cedar Wood.
Climb the wall to the right and there will be six more Pine trees and a single Cedar tree.
Go around the corner between the city’s wall and the Adventurer’s Guild building to find two more Cedar trees.
Climb the wall again and follow the path of a few more harvestable trees. Go through the windmill, climb the final wall and you’ll see a few fir trees in the distance. They’re already behind the city’s wall though, so they don’t count.
Explore a bit the main square, especially the stairs to the Church of Favonius. There are a few more Pine trees. We just explored the left side of Mondstadt, you can find more trees on the right side as well.
